Scalloway Harbour is a busy commercial port with ample quayside and working space. There is a fishmarket which is refrigerated and compliant to the highest standards.

The main quay dimensions:
- West Face Quay: Length 120m, Depth 7.0m
- South Face Quay: Length 120m, Depth 6.5m
- South East Quay Length 133m, Depth 6.5m
Bunkering is available for large vessels, along with potable water and shore power.
A further spur jetty to the east of the main commercial quays provides additional berthing for aquaculture and fishing vessels, while also providing shelter for the large, modern, refrigerated fish market.
There is also a small fuel pontoon for workboats or yachts, run by a local supplier, located in a western section of the harbour ideally suited for workboats and the aquaculture industry with ample quay space for lifting out and fabrication activities.
Forklifts up to 12 ton are available from the harbour office, and heavy lift mobile cranes are available for cargo handling from local operators.
